The abode of Lord Jagannath, Puri is one of
the sacred char (four) dhams for the Hindus. Devotees pour in large
numbers throughout the year to Puri to pray at the Puri temple. The
city is popularly referred to as Jagannath Puri. Situated along the
coast of Bay of Bengal the city of Puri witnesses an influx of
tourists not just for making a pilgrimage here but also for the
picturesque locales. Untouched by filth, the Puri beach is still
pristine with its beautiful white sands. The holy city of Puri is
one of the cities of Golden Triangles of East India, the other two
cities being Bhubaneshwar and Konark. |
